The College Perk was designed to be a community-oriented coffeehouse; a place to come enjoy the company of your friends, unwind a bit and savor a good cup of coffee (or tea). We were inspired by the modern bars and cafes of Italy, as well as the early coffeehouses of Europe that offered a backdrop to some of the greatest events in history. These were places where appreciation for coffee and culture reigned supreme but conversation was key to the whole experience. Literature, politics, business - everything important was discussed in coffeehouses. We would like to bring some of that experience to modern College Park by providing a congenial atmosphere for meeting people and airing opinions freely. Of course, we don't want to ignore the entertainment aspect either: music, local art & poetry events occur most nights of the week. We keep a room available for meetings, simply call ahead to reserve it for your next event.

Central to the experience is the Perk's extensive menu. We pride ourselves on our array of coffee & tea drinks and offer one of the best loose-leaf tea selections in the region. Customer favorites include exotic Inkas Xocolatl and tangy Green Sencha. Our espresso bar turns out some of the sweetest doppio macchiatti in town and customers enjoy rarer finds like Vietnamese coffee and French presses. If you're looking for something besides coffee and tea, we offer lots of alternatives, from freshly squeezed lemonade and limeade to fruit smoothies.

College Perk now stocks a full liquor bar, draft beers, as well as a constantly updated premium bottled beer & wine list, look for it on your next visit. We host frequent tastings to give customers a greater appreciation for the finer points of spirits. We take pride in our unique dishes often named after favorite customers. Part of what we wanted to do was make the Perk a growing, changing place that reflects the people in it. If you've ever wondered at some of the names of our sandwiches and drinks - they all have a story behind them involving one of the zany people that call the Perk home. Next time you're here, try a WIE Paul or a Nature Boy Sean, or even create your own CoCo's Hot Tub. Stick around long enough, and we may name one after you.
